Honesty I don't even know how my fingers are typing these words since I am so tired. So tired! Feeling creative though, so you better watch out! Watch out! :)
ISIS is so evil! They create an atmosphere of fear that can be smelt all the way from Paris. I can smell them from here and they have the smell of death. So I am being serious compared to the beginning of this post and you might be wondering why. Why the shift? :) Well reading a headline about ISIS already entering our southern border got me thinking and wantin to write a bit. The question remains, was the headline fear mongering on the author's part? Even if it wasn't the author's intent to scare us into some sort of social resistance, there seems to be a prevalent aroma of fear being produced by ISIS affecting ordinary American citizens. Is ISIS really a threat to the United States? Could they really influence a terrorist attack here in the United States just like they did in Paris?
To be honest I think one would have to be naive to think this impossible, but at the same time, as Christians has God called us to fear?
Trust ye the Lord! That is the Bible in a nutshell. Obviously the salvation we find in Jesus is what it is all about, but in our day to day living, Jesus does not want us to fear or worry.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 1 Timothy 1:17
Blessings all! And goodnight, the Lord be with you!
